After just a few weeks, Stella is already quite at home on the campus of Kisubi Brothers University, where she and Hadijja have both earned full-ride scholarships. A quiet campus near Lake Victoria, the students have access to the beautiful grounds of the school, as well as a private beach.
Stella is planning to be a teacher, studying physics and math, and is enjoying both her classes and the university life experience. Stella gave a tour of her new campus with enthusiasm, introducing professors and showing off the library, the computer labs, and even the physics building; classroom by classroom.
Aunt Jenifer also came along on the visit, and Stella was happy to receive an unexpected visitor. Both she and Hadijja drafted a long letter to the Sseko veterans they left behind at the workshops, and eagerly listened to updates about all of their former co-workers. Stella is already learning so much at university, but she still remembers some of the lessons she took from Sseko- including how to pose for a photo.
