This season we’re focusing on the magic that comes from a new beginning. Maybe you caught a glimpse of that with the launch of our SS 17 collection! The Spring / Summer 2017 collection is an ode to origins and new beginnings. Handcrafted in East Africa, this collection is a celebration of hope in the lives of Sseko women, both in Uganda and here at home. One of those women is named Amanda Sienkiewicz, and we are SO excited to introduce you to her.
Tell us a little bit about yourself!
I am a 23 year-old writer and influencer based out of Denver, CO. I am a nursing student currently working towards my RN, BSN. I love words, books, anything floral, and of course–being a SSEKO sole sister!!
What inspires your personal style?
My personal style is inspired by anything flowly, floral, simple, and Boho! I love comfortable pieces that I can wear over and over again.
What piece of the Brave Manifesto resonates most with you? Why?
“When in doubt, give grace” resonates most with me because I love the concept of grace! It is something I strive to live by each and every day and I believe Sseko does such an amazing job of demonstrating this.
This season we’re focusing on trusting in the magic of new beginnings. Can you tell us about a time where you saw this kind of magic first hand?
I have always loved new beginnings. They can be frightening, but so exciting! Recently in January, I started my new journey towards fulfilling my lifelong dream of being a nurse and it has been an absolutely magical journey so far!
What is your favorite piece in our Spring collection?
My favorite pieces are the desert glass necklace and ALL of the sandals!
