Life at Sseko

Sseko Summit 2018

No One Belongs Here More Than You

This sentiment is more than a Sseko motto, but a badge of honor for each of 68 Fellows who attended Sseko Summit 2018. For some Sseko Fellows flying to Portland, Oregon was their first time meeting another Sseko Fellow in person. Countless emails and phone calls transformed into hugs and celebration as women front across the country began to learn and share her Sseko Story.

A Global Sisterhood of Brave & Bold

The greetings and introductions quickly became a strong Sisterhood. Who better to rally the sisterhood than our founder, Liz Bohannon?? Her words throughout the weekend connected the Fellows to the past, present and future. Her connection creates unparalleled intimacy and love for the global Sseko Sisterhood. Her vision instills the tenacity and grit of entrepreneurship growing within each Fellow. The Summit fueled bravery and boldness throughout the Sisterhood.

Say Yes to Adventure

From surprises and cross-continental stories, Sseko Summit had no shortage of adventure. Sseko Fellows agreed to explore the city with a cocktail night at Tea Bar and made memories with a flash mob in the park. For Summit, adventure always leads to endless laughter and timeless memories. The adventure and memories shared throughout Summit became a connection for these Fellows as they fly back home and continue to grow their Sseko businesses.

We are Dreamers & Doers

The women at Sseko said yes to adventure, opportunity and connection. The Fellows heard from women of the Sisterhood who finesse the adventure, opportunity and connection as impact entrepreneurs. These women presented on how Sseko created the opportunity for their dreams to become reality. From quitting corporate jobs to transforming a coffee date into a Sseko sale, these fellows have mastered their craft and shared their secrets with their Sisterhood.

“Like a Girl” is a Compliment

Summit was filled with dancing, learning and memories.  Summit was a chance to celebrate each Fellow and equip her for the future. As 68 women came together, they became a unit to support and inspire each other because Sseko is more than an opportunity to sell ethical fashion but to create a Global Sisterhood.
